Lead

“Let me lead.” I plead.

Do you trust me?  Then, let me lead.

Faith over fear.

We’re in this together. I explain to her.

It’s not me against you.

Instead, me with you.

I walk alongside you, child.

I witness your growth, next to you.

Encouraging you. Believing in you. Cheering you on.

Not against you. With you.

Arms linked, we march towards your bright future.

Until I let go. And you lead.

I trust you.

Faith over fear.

You lead.

What About You?

I am someone who likes to record -through photographs, with words.

Sometimes I wonder if that means I am obsessed with looking back but then I disregard that notion because there is so much I look forward to!

I’m curious.

What do you do?

Do you record, through photographs, albums, diaries?

If not, is it for a reason or do you wish you would?

Tell me, what about you?

I See You

Hey, you.  Yea, you.  I see you.  Beneath that tired skin. Behind that tough exterior.  Beyond that quiet disposition.  I see you.  And isn’t that all that we sometimes really need?  To be seen.  To be noticed.  To be appreciated and recognized for who we are and what we have accomplished?
